Chrome issues on Citrix XenApp >6.5

The Problem

When google’s chrome get an update, it’s possible to get a “aw, snap” page. This is annoying as ICT-nerd and especially when you are on night-duty. In first instance you’ll think about reinstalling chrome. This will fix the issue, temporary, until the next update.

How To Fix

On the support page of google you’ll find a solution for chrome issues when used as virtual app, but you’ll not find a solution when you use chrome in a virtual desktop. The steps to fix the issues are the same:
1.Open Registry Editor.
2.Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\CtxHook.
3.Change the value of registry key ExcludedImageNames to chrome.exe,nacl64.exe.
Note: If registry key ExcludedImageNames doesn’t already exist, you’ll need to create it.
